Products FAQ

Find answers to commonly asked queries about Revive Terra’s mission, initiatives, and impact.

While many large-scale rubber plantations in the region have been abandoned, Revive Terra operates primarily on privately held farms with dormant, nonproductive, or aging rubber trees, partnering directly with landowners to bring these lands back into productive, sustainable use.

Yes. We are certified by the Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP), which verifies our supply chain, sourcing practices, and risk management across environmental, legal, and social factors.

The biomass is classified as Trees Outside Forest – Agricultural Feedstock and hence our farms are outside the scope of EUDR and will not be added as a source area otherwise.

The majority of our source material in Liberia is from non-productive farms and hence are not part of the EUDR focused rubber supply chain. All source farms as a minimum require confirmation of no conversion post 2008 in order to be ratified as a source farm.

Liberia is not currently RED II compliant at a national level. However, under the updated RED III framework, individual farms can still qualify as compliant—provided they meet SBP onboarding and traceability requirements. Each source farm will be evaluated independently to ensure alignment with RED III standards.

In West Africa, the biomass supply base is predominantly made up of smallholder farms rather than large plantations. This decentralized model means that even if a small percentage of farms fail to meet compliance, it will not materially affect the overall availability of sustainable biomass.

Yes. All chips are tested at port prior to export. Moisture levels and ash content are documented and included in buyer packets. Typical specs are:

  • Target Moisture Content: 32% (or to client’s specification requirements)
  • Ash Content: ≤ 2.0%
  • Calorific Value: 19.5 MJ/kg
